Where is Blackstone General Contracting located, and what areas do you serve?

We are based in Vaughan, Ontario, and serve the Greater Toronto Area — including Vaughan, Toronto, Markham, North York, and Richmond Hill. We have operated in the GTA for over 20 years.

What types of renovations do you do?

We handle interior residential and commercial renovations: kitchens, bathrooms, basements, flooring and painting, structural and open-concept changes, and commercial interior fit-outs. We do not do exterior work like roofing or landscaping.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We carry liability insurance and WSIB coverage, and we work with licensed electrical (ESA) and plumbing trades so every part of your project is done to code and passes inspection.

How do you quote a renovation?

We visit the space, discuss your goals, and provide a detailed fixed quote after scoping — not a vague ballpark. The quote itemizes the work so you know exactly what you're paying for before anything starts.

Do you provide free consultations?

Yes. The initial consultation and quote are free. We use it to understand what you want, assess the space, and give you an honest budget range and timeline.

How long will my renovation take?

It depends on scope: a bathroom is typically 2–4 weeks, a kitchen 4–8 weeks, and a finished basement 6–10 weeks. Permit timelines and material lead times are the biggest variables, and we order long-lead items early to avoid gaps.

Can I live in my home during the renovation?

In most cases, yes. We stage the work and contain dust to keep the rest of your home usable. For larger projects we'll be upfront about the periods when a space (like your only kitchen or bathroom) will be out of service.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. We manage building, electrical, and other permit applications and schedule the required inspections. For structural work we also coordinate the engineered drawings a permit requires.

What does your warranty cover?

Our work is backed by a 12-month limited workmanship guarantee. If something we installed fails due to workmanship within that period, we make it right. Manufacturer warranties on materials and appliances apply separately.
